A New Place

It's been a while since I posted last, and some major changes have taken place. As of July 5 (just over a week ago), I've become the "Assistant Director of Cross-Cultural Ministries (CCM)" in my denomination. I'm excited about this new ministry, as God has allowed me (and led me) to give greater focus to missions. This of course has necessitated a relocation back to Findlay, OH, a small city in western Ohio where Sherri and I lived while I was in seminary 17-20 years ago.

These are the main headings in my portfolio:
  • Member care for missionaries: provide pastoral support to missionaries at each stage of their service, from recruitment to retirement.
  • Missionary recruitment and training
  • Serve as "point person" for mission fields in Asia and Africa (currently Bangladesh, India, Kenya, and Thailand)
  • Assist Director Don Dennison in the Findlay CCM office: represent CCM at churches throughout the CGGC in missions mobilization
It's going to be a big job, but I'm thankful for the opportunity!
